China Cabinet 1 – closed and open

A highly detailed china cabinet built into a dining room, with a window seat overlooking the park outside. The shape of the unit follows the golden spiral. The dining room curtains are now sliding wood frames with fused, coloured glass, which move open to store behind the cabinet.

Materials: Quilted maple veneers, red gum solids, copper, brass. clear, etched and coloured glass, lighting, aniline and natural dyes. Clear lacquer by Glen Baker, as with most of our work.

A minimalist china storage cabinet, with doors, drawers, glass shelves and sliding glass panels.

Quarter-sawn maple veneers, granite, 3/4″ glass shelves, lighting. Clear lacquer finish by Glen Baker.
